Elementary Art
Our Elementary teacher has her Master of Art History degree, and as a result, our Elementary class has a very rich art programme. Time is set aside each week for a lesson, each with a specific focus. There is opportunity for creativity in other areas too, as students add illustrations to their work, or take time to add to their sketchbooks, for example. We also take advantage of opportunities that arise. One year a potter came into the school to work with the class, and another year the students had an opportunity to design and create their own sun catcher using stained glass.
In addition, the class takes art lessons at the Dundas Valley School of art once a week in the fall.
